Bonnieview is named after Bonnie Miller, Minnie Miller’s daughter. Minnie Miller was a businesswoman in the 1920s who built a state-of-the-art dairy on Ritter Island. It is rumored that Bonnie enjoyed the view from this property and often watched the ferries carrying mail, freight, and passengers come and go. Today, Bonnieview can be accessed through the trail at Ritter Island. The pond at Bonnieview is home to a variety of birds. In the spring, visitors can see geese vying for the coveted nesting boxes. Not only does Bonnieview offer a beautiful view of the Hagerman.
